The New York Knicks won their 6th game last night, beating the Toronto Raptors 113 to 110. They have beaten the teams that they are supposed to beat. Amar'e Stoudemire is on fire right now and has scored over 30 points in the last six games. Raymond Felton continues to score and get his teammates involved. Wilson Chandler continues to have success starting and coming off the bench. And Landry Fields is playing at a very high level and leads the league in rebounds for guards. These players have gotten their team 5 games over .500. Then comes the question, are the Knicks legit winners? My answer to that question is possibly. They beat the New Orleans Hornets who are a nice team that got off to a nice start. Also, we haven’t seen nothing yet when it comes to this team. They are playing as a team and that is why they are winning at this level. But my only concern is Mike D’Antoni and his rotation. The starters are playing so long that by the seasons end the Knicks may not even be able to make a playoff run. Also, the bench has to play because if your starters get in foul trouble then what happens, you will have a cold bench who has no playing time and can’t hit any shots. I would love to see Eddy Curry come back to enjoy this run with this team. If he could come and produce for this team that will be a big plus.
As of right now the Knicks and New York are all smiles, winning isn’t easy, but the Knicks have made it look that way. The real test for this Knicks team will come after Friday’s game against the Washington Wizards. They are looking great, but how great are they? We will see
