Chandler Lifts Knicks Over Spurs; 128 to 115

The New York Knicks played the NBA’s best team the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks are going to be without forward Danilo Gallinari for the next 2-3 weeks with a sprained left knee. He wasn’t missed on Tuesday night and the Knicks started Ronny Turiaf in his place. Wilson Chandler scored a season-high 31 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He really stepped out and showed why he is a nice role player who can score anytime he wants. His value for this team is at an all-time high. The Knicks also had a great game out of point guard Raymond Felton who scored 28 points, 7 assist, and 4 rebounds. He really showed his great efforts and played really well. The importance of this win is very important because this marked the 20th victory for the Knicks this season. Amar'e Stoudemire scored 28 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and dished out 6 assist. He really gave the Knicks a great opportunity to win because he came out with high energy and provided a spark for the team.

The Spurs had a great game out of guard Tony Parker who scored 26 points and dished out 6 assist. He was getting to the rim at will and scored most of his points in the paint. He is a very underrated point guard and deserves high praises for his efforts. DeJuan Blair played well in his limited playing time as he scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Tim Duncan scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Spurs starters were pulled with 3 minutes remaining which was very surprising because the Spurs were within 10 points. The Spurs couldn’t match the Knicks high offense and great scoring. This game was very close the entire way, but the Knicks were able to pull away in the fourth to seal the victory.
