The Knicks were back at home on Friday night to face the Sacramento Kings. The Kings who have the second worst record in the NBA came into the Garden to face the Knicks. This was one of the worst Knicks performances of the season mainly because of the Knicks dreadful shooting and terrible defense. The Knicks really were terrible and it looked as if they had no idea as to what to do on offense. The Kings really dominated the game and shot the ball very well. Beno Udrih had a very nice game scoring a game-high 29 points and 5 rebounds. He has really been doing a very good job in scoring the ball as of late. He can really be a nice veteran player to lead the Kings team. Udrih was shooting the ball at a high level and used his smarts to hold the Knicks off. DeMarcus Cousins scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as he had his way with the Knicks defense. Cousins is a very good big man who can post up and score or face up and score. The Kings were able to hold the Knicks to 32% shooting from the field.
Amar'e Stoudemire had a terrible game from the field, but was able to scrap up 25 points and grab 13 rebounds. He really couldn’t hit anything along with the rest of the Knicks. He tried his best to score the ball, but the team couldn’t find a way to get the ball in the hoop. The Knicks had many good looks at the basket, but they just couldn’t get the ball in the hoop. Toney Douglas had 21 points and 9 rebounds off the bench for the Knicks. He is really banged up right now with injuries to both shoulders, but he is so tough and is playing through his injuries. The Knicks will play the Phoenix Suns on Monday at 1:00 PM.
