Knicks Beat Pacers 98 to 92

The New York Knicks took on the Indiana Pacers at Madison Square Garden, Sunday afternoon. The game was very physical and many fouls were called. The game was close the entire way as both the Knicks and Pacers changed leads. In the fourth quarter, forward Danilo Gallinari was injured and left the game with an injury to his left knee. Gallinari did score 19 points and grab 5 rebounds and was very effective in the Knicks win. Hopefully, Gallinari can make a speedy recovery.

The Knicks fought hard to win and deserved the hard fought game. Amar’e Stoudemire struggled from the field, but he was able to scrap out 26 hard fought points. Stoudemire also played great defense recording 2 blocks and showed the Pacers that anything in the paint was going to be contested. His teammate Ronny Turiaf recorded a season high 6 blocks as well as 10 rebounds. He showed why he is a tough defensive player with the ability to change the face of a defense. The Knicks played their best defensive game of the season and if they can keep it going could be a force in the Eastern Conference.

The Pacers had a great game out of Danny Granger who scored 25 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. He means a whole lot to the Pacers team and when healthy can really be a dominant player. He scored the ball with such ease and fluidity causing the Knicks to adjust their defensive strategies. His teammate Darren Collison had a great game as well, scoring 22 points, dishing out 6 assist, and grabbing 5 rebounds. He really is a good young point guard who can get to the basket any time he wants. His ability to run the floor is amazing and he has great knowledge for the game. The Pacers just fell short of a victory, but they fought the entire way as did the Knicks.
