The Knicks played the Washington Wizards on Monday night, trying to snap their six game losing streak. The Knicks have struggled during this losing streak, but on Monday night they would end the losing streak. On the other hand the Wizards were trying to snap a 20 game road losing streak. They are currently 0-20 on the road this season. The Knicks were led by guard Raymond Felton who was all over the court and was able to get his teammates involved. Felton scored 17 points, dished out 15 assists, and had 4 steals. He really played hard and fought to get his team the victory. He has been struggling along with the rest of the team, but was able to get his game going again. His teammate and co-captain Amar'e Stoudemire scored a game high 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Stoudemire scored 17 of his 30 points in the third quarter to cap a well played game. He finally got his game going after struggling in the few games. His play is always helpful for the Knicks and he is very consistent. His play has been noticed and he may be a starter for the Knicks in this years All-Star game.
The Knicks really have been missing the game of Wilson Chandler, who has been cold in the last few games and was barely scoring. On Monday Chandler broke out and scored 25 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The Knicks need Chandler to be aggressive and not afraid to shoot the ball. As the game went on you could tell Chandler became more confortable. His play on both ends of the floor was very key to the Knicks beating the Wizards.
The Washington Wizards were led by guard Nick Young who scored a team high 22 points. Young is a great scorer who can put up points in bunches. He finished the third quarter on a shooting tier, scoring 16 points in the third. The importance of him to the Wizards is at a high because he is a great player who can score at any point in the game. His teammate Rashard Lewis scored 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in their lost to the Knicks. Lewis is a real key to the Wizards success this season. The Knicks will play the Heat on Wednesday night.
