Rockets Beat Knicks 104 to 89

The New York Knicks went to Houston, Texas to face the Rockets, to begin their three game road trip. The Knicks trailed the entire game and again their defensive pressure was low causing them to lose the game. The Knicks missed countless layups and looked very lost out there on the court. Something needs to be done to fix the Knicks problems on the defensive end. It is hard to watch as guys are just blowing by them and getting the easy shots at the rim. The Rockets were great on both ends of the court and never allowed the Knicks to gain control of the game. Kevin Martin scored 21 points despite his struggles from the field. He is a very important piece to this Rockets team especially since Yao Ming is out for the season. The strength of this Rockets team is the play of Kevin Martin, if he can score the ball the Rockets will more than likely win. The Rockets have now found their winning touch and have now won four straight games. Kyle Lowry played well scoring 18 points and dishing out 4 assists.

Amar'e Stoudemire scored 25 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Right now the Knicks have struggled as of late and have found it hard to play defense. Amar’e is doing well, but has been taken out of his game with teams beginning to stop him. Raymond Felton scored 14 points and dished out 5 assists. This was an important game for the Knicks to win because they have to play two tough teams. The first is on Friday when they play the San Antonio Spurs and then on Saturday they play the Oklahoma City Thunder.
