Suns Edge Out Knicks; 129 to 121

The Knicks came into Monday on a two game losing streak. They would face a Phoenix Suns team who have a 3-1 record in their last four games. The Knicks were trying to avoid a repeat performance of their game against the Sacramento Kings. The Suns came out red hot from beyond the arc and scored 39 points in the first quarter. The Suns were led by Vince Carter who had a season high in points with 29 and in rebounds with 12. He really has his game going again since his trade to the Suns. He is a valuable piece to the Suns when he is healthy and scoring the way he does. Carter also scored his 20,000th point. His teammates Grant Hill scored 25 points and 6 rebounds. Channing Frye scored 18 points, but was benched late in the game because of his foul troubles.

The Knicks had an awesome performance out of Amar'e Stoudemire who scored a season-high 41 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. He really looked great , but late in the game the Knicks forced Stoudemire to take terrible shots. The Knicks looked great at times, but their defense looked terrible the entire game and the Suns were scoring anytime they wanted. Wilson Chandler had 23 points and 5 rebounds. Raymond Felton had 13 assist and 7 points. Danilo Gallinari returned after missing the last six games, Gallinari scored 17 points and grab 4 rebounds in his return. The Knicks have a tough road ahead of them, but we’ll see how well they can perform against some tough teams.
