Knicks win against the Heat; Win 91-86

The Knicks went into Miami to face the Heat who are atop the Eastern Conference. The Heat are tough to beat because they have a solid core who can put up points. The Knicks are on a three game road trip losing the first in Cleveland. This was a very exciting game and most of the game the Heat were leading. They went up 15 points, but the Knicks went on a 16-0 run to end the 2nd quarter. Bill Walker hit a three-point field goal to end the 2nd quarter to give the Knicks a 52-51 lead at the half. The Knicks were led by Carmelo Anthony who scored 29 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He really hit some big shots and played some outstanding defense late in the game. The Knicks played great defense late in the game to hold the Heat off. Amar'e Stoudemire was a great presence to have on the floor late in the game as he made a huge block on LeBron. Stoudemire scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He really stepped up in the key moments of the game and the main reason why the Knicks won the game. Chauncey Billups came up big as well and was a key to the Knicks comeback. Billups scored 16 points as he led the Knicks back into the game. The Knicks main concern coming into the game was their defense, but their defense put them back into the game. The Knicks won in a playoff atmosphere and won nicely.

The Heat were in control most of the game, but they couldn’t close out the game. LeBron James led the Heat with 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assist. He is a great player, but he couldn’t hit the key shots to get the Heat the win. Chris Bosh played well as he scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Dwyane Wade scored just 12 points, dished out 9 assist, and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was in foul trouble for most of the game and was basically a non-factor. The Heat came out with energy, but couldn’t close out the game.

The Knicks will have another tough task ahead of them as they will take on the Orlando Magic on Tuesday.
