No Amar’e no problem; Knicks beat Nets 105 to 95

The Knicks found out before the game that All-Star forward Amar’e Stoudemire would miss the game due to a sprained big toe. The Knicks needed a big game from everyone, and they got it. The Knicks were led by Wilson Chandler who has been struggling due to injuries. He scored a team-high 21 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and blocked 5 shots. He really stepped up in the absence of Stoudemire. Chandler has to play well in order for the Knicks to win. His teammate Toney Douglas had a great game as he scored 19 points off the bench. He has been playing much better since becoming more healthy. This game was a huge boost for the Knicks team as they hit 16 three-point field goals. The entire team put forth a great effort to get this win. Raymond Felton scored 13 points and dished out 11 assist. He was able to get his entire team involved.

The Nets were riding a two game winning streak and were trying to get their third in a row. Devin Harris scored 22 points. He had it going early, but in the second half he wasn’t able to get to the rim. The Nets are a good team if he can score and get his teammates involved. Brook Lopez found his game in the post as he scored 19 points. He is a great big man to have on a team. He has really lost his ability to rebound the ball as he is only averaging 5.7 rebounds this season. And he only has two double-doubles this season. The Knicks will have to play the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday to close out the first half of the season.
