Cavaliers beat Knicks again 119-115

The Cleveland Cavaliers came into the night beating the Knicks ten straight times. The Knicks were coming off a win against the New Orleans Hornets in which they blew them out. The Knicks came out with energy and were hitting shots and went up by 12 mid-way through the 1st quarter. The Cavaliers would spark a comeback and would eventually tie the game at 32 to end the first. After halftime the Knicks were leading again as they went up by 12 again. But the Knicks would allow the Cavs to comeback and take the lead late in the fourth. The Knicks would never take the lead again as the Cavs hit big shots over the lazy defense of the Knicks. The Cavs played great and deserved to win. The Cavs also snapped a 26-game road losing streak in the win. J.J. Hickson scored a team high 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He has dominated the Knicks all season and has been a real nemesis to the Knicks. He dominates the glass and uses the pump fake to his advantage. Baron Davis was a huge spark off the bench as he scored 18 points and 5 assist in his Cavs debut. He hit a huge three late in the 4th to extend the Cavs lead to six. He is a key player on the Cavs roster especially with all of the injuries.

Amar'e Stoudemire scored a game-high 41 points and 9 rebounds. He worked hard to keep the Knicks in the game and hit a key three pointer to pull the Knicks within one late in the 4th. He really played hard, but his fouling limited his production on the defensive end. Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. He was called for an offensive foul late in the 4th that ended the Knicks hopes of getting a win. Everyone wanted Anthony to get the ball and he did, but he couldn’t execute the possession. Landry Fields scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The Knicks will look to bounce back against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday evening.

Jared Jeffries also got the start for the Knicks for Ronny Turiaf, who didn’t play.
