The Knicks led most of the game, but the Hawks were able to comeback. Then the Knicks would make an amazing run to blow the game open to 18 points. The Knicks would hold on to get the victory. Amar'e Stoudemire had a great game shooting the ball as he scored 26 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He played a great game for the Knicks and continues to lead the team to victories. New Knick Carmelo Anthony had a tough game scoring the ball as he scored 14 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 7 assist. He hit some big shots late to keep the in control of the game. The Knicks came up big to get the win. Landry Fields played a great game as he scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. He played outstanding defense on Joe Johnson to limit his production. The Knicks played great when they had to and more importantly they were able to close out quarters.

The Hawks came out cold, but they were able to stay in the game by driving the ball to the hoop. Josh Smith led the Hawks in scoring 17 points and he also collected 11 rebounds. He was the main force that kept the Hawks in the game. This was his first game back after he injured his left knee. Kirk Hinrich scored 15 points and dished out 4 assists. He is starting to get his game going since he was traded to the Hawks for Mike Bibby. Joe Johnson scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. He has had a tough season thus far and hasn’t been the guy from last season. If he can get his game going the Hawks will be tough to beat.
