The recent trouble for the Knicks has been their defense. That would be the same issue for them in this game. The Knicks fell behind 32-9 at the end of the 1st quarter. That was perhaps their worst quarter all season. The Bucks were able to hit great shots and looked like they were going to run away with the game, but instead the Knicks would make a series of runs to get back in it. The Knicks would never regain control of the lead despite the hard fought comeback. Carlos Delfino scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He was spectacular from behind the arc as he hit six three pointers. He led his team to the win and played great. The Bucks are still trying to get into the playoffs and are winning now that they are beginning to get healthy again. John Salmons scored 22 points as he continues to have an excellent season. The Bucks when healthy are going to be a dangerous team to mess with down the stretch. Brandon Jennings had a great game as he scored 14 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out 9 assists, He is a great young player to have because he can break defenses apart with his quickness. He also can get to the basket and score. He is someone you can give the ball late in the game and know that he can give you something on a play.
The Knicks starters played their hearts out, but coming back is really hard to do. The main reason why the Knicks lost was because they dug to big of a hole for themselves. Amar'e Stoudemire scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He played great and used his jumper to keep the Knicks within striking distance. He has been very consistent for the Knicks and continues to play at a high level. Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points and grabbed 5 rebounds as he played much better than his last performance. Anthony only scored 6 points and struggled badly from the field in that game. Chauncey Billups played great as he scored 21 points and passed out 4 assists. He continues to get back into the flow of things as he recovers from a left thigh bruise. The Knicks are looking really bad right now and they are struggling to play defense as a team. The opponents are scoring at will and destroying the Knicks defense. The Knicks will play the Boston Celtics tomorrow and are hoping to end this tough stretch.
