The Knicks went to Indiana to face the Pacers. The Knicks lost the matchup on Sunday night in a terrible fashion. The Knicks struggled on the defensive end in that one. The game tonight they struggled on the defensive end early in the game. The Knicks are really struggling with this new team. The Knicks allowed Tyler Hansbrough to score a career-high 30 points. In the last matchup he scored a career-high 29 points. The Knicks allowed easy jumpers for him and he took advantage of a weak Knick defense. He is a good player, but the Knicks allowed him to look like a great player. Danny Granger would hit the game winner with .3 seconds left on the clock.
He scored 26 points and grabbed 7 rebounds after missing one game with an illness. He is a nice player to have on a team because he has the potential to be a great leader. He has shown the Pacers organization that he can win games for his team. Darren Collison scored 24 points and dished out 9 assists. He broke the Knicks defense apart and beat the Knicks to the hoop. He showed why he could be an elite point guard in the league because of his ability to score and get his teammates involved.
The Knicks were down by 15 in the 3rd before they stormed back to take the lead. Carmelo Anthony scored a team-high 29 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He played hard in this lost to the Pacers. Jared Jeffries didn’t give Anthony the ball in the last seconds of the 4th. He had a great look too, but Jeffries threw the ball down low and it was just tipped away. Amar'e Stoudemire scored 21 points and he went into the half with just 3 points. Landry Fields and Toney Douglas both scored 17 points in the lost. The Knicks will have to figure out what is wrong on the defensive end before it is to late. The Knicks will face the Grizzles on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.
