The Knicks hosted the Boston Celtics at Madison Square Garden. The Celtics led the series 3-0 and were looking for the series sweep. The Knicks were without Chauncey Billups for the 3rd consecutive game. Shaquille O’Neal didn’t play as well because of a calf injury. The Celtics would start to blow out the Knicks and went up by 23 points. The Knicks would make a run to comeback within 4 points, but an debatable offensive foul took the Knicks heart away. Kevin Garnett had his best game of the series as he scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He put the team on his back and was able to score using his great posting ability.
Rajon Rondo scored 21 points and dished out 12 assists. He played a great game and saw the floor well. He took the ball into Toney Douglas and he couldn’t muster up any energy.
The Knicks were excited with the effort from Carmelo Anthony who scored a game-high 32 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He had a nice two games against the Celtics. Considering all things, the Knicks have an exciting future and things are looking up for the Knicks.
Amar’e Stoudemire had a nice bounce back game as he scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. He had a nice game considering his injured back. He deserves a lot of credit from the Knicks fans and organization because he made the first step to a franchise that had nothing, but saw the potential in an organization to build a team. He is the hero for the Knicks this season because of all the things he has done.
The Knicks ended their season, but there is hope for the future.
