Breaking News; Ike Davis out three weeks

According to Adam Rubin writer for ESPN New York, the Mets have shut Ike Davis down for the next three weeks. He will be wearing a boot for the time being.

Davis was placed on the disabled list after spraining his ankle in a collision with David Wright. This is horrible news for the Mets because they need his power bat and great defense. They will have to play Murphy and Evans at first for the next three weeks. Davis had a team leading seven homeruns when he went down. Now the Mets have to hope that the Murphy and Evans can get them some runs and get this team going.
