Pre-Game: Mets vs. Rockies 3:10 PM; Ike Davis to the DL

The New York Mets will play their final game of a three game series today against the Rockies. The game was scheduled for yesterday, but rain postponed it for today. Jon Niese will face off against Ubaldo Jimenez.

According to Adam Rubin the Mets have placed Ike Davis on the Disable List. Davis collided with David Wright in Tuesday’s win over the Rockies. Davis’ injury is being called a left ankle sprain and bone bruise. This is a huge hole the Mets now have because Ike was performing at a high level. The Mets have recalled Fernando Martinez to fill in the empty roster spot.

David Wright will be out of the lineup to rest his back that has been a problem for weeks now. Willie Harris will start in his place.
