Breaking News; Shaq retires

Shaquille O’Neal announced via Twitter that he has retired from the NBA after 19 seasons. He has been a dominant force in the NBA since he came into the league. O’Neal finished up with a career averages of 23.7 points per game and 10.9 rebounds per game. He was the heart of the Lakers during their stretch of three straight NBA titles. His game was unmatchable during his prime. He stands as the 5th leading scorer in NBA history and is a 4-time NBA champ. O’Neal played for six teams (Magic, Lakers, Heat, Suns, Cavaliers, and Celtics).

Shaq was drafted number one overall by the Orlando Magic in 1992. He also played in 216 postseason games with a playoff average of 24.3 points per game and 11.6 rebounds per game. He will always be one of the best big man players of all-time. Shaq missed the playoffs twice in his career.
