Pre-Game: Braves vs. Mets 7:10 PM

The Mets will start a three game series against the Atlanta Braves tonight at Citi Field. The Mets are coming off a series split against the Pirates in which they came back from a 7-0 deficit. The Mets finally showed that they could win despite trailing. The most important thing to remember is that this could possibly get this team going.

Jon Niese will start for the Mets and will try to continue his success. His last start was a good one as he went 6.1 innings of scoreless baseball against the Philadelphia Phillies. He was dominant and was able to put the team in a great position to win.

Derek Lowe will start for the Braves and will try to last longer today. In his last start Lowe went 3.1 innings allowing five runs and walking five batters. He had a terrible game and put his team at a disadvantage.

The Mets made a roster move today when they sent Mike O’Connor to Triple-A Buffalo and recalled Manny Acosta.

Mets Lineup:

  1. Jose Reyes SS
  2. Justin Turner 3B

  4. Jason Bay LF
  5. Daniel Murphy 1B
