The New York Mets will play the Milwaukee Brewers tonight at Miller Park. The Mets are coming off a 2-1 win last night in which they had an excellent pitching performance from Chris Capuano. And the two runs came from Jose Reyes and his two-run triple. Reyes is swinging a hot bat and continues to have a great season.
Mike Pelfrey will get the start for the Mets tonight. Pelfrey looked terrible in his last start when he gave up seven runs in five innings of work. He was lucky to get a no decision because that would have been costly to the team. The Mets were able to put across nine runs in that game. He has to allow the team to get him some runs if the team is going to win. He cannot have another performance like his last otherwise the Mets will more than likely lose.
Randy Wolf will oppose Pelfrey as he tries to get his fifth win of the season. Wolf is coming off a bad start in which he gave up four runs over five innings. He was given a no decision. He has pitched very well this season despite the losses. He has a high walk average and the Mets have to be patient tonight if they are going to beat him.
