The New York Mets will play the Milwaukee Brewers for the first time this season. The Mets are coming off a 5-5 home stand. The Mets lost some games in which they had the lead going into the 7th inning and some how found a way to lose. The Brewers are coming off a four game series sweep of the Florida Marlins. They have a top-notch offense and a staff of great pitchers.
Chris Capuano will pitch for the Mets and for the first time he will face off against his former team. Capuano is coming off a lost against the Pirates. He gave up five runs on eight hits in six innings. He struggled in the later innings and it cost him a win.
Shaun Marcum will start for the Brewers and has had a dominating season. He has a 6-2 record with an ERA of 2.78. In his last start he gave up two runs in a no decision. He has gone six innings in eleven of his twelve starts this season. The Mets will have a tough tough time against Marcum, but they have to stay focused and try to hit him hard.
