Pre-Game: Mets vs. Pirates 7:05 PM

The New York Mets will play the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight at PNC Park. The Mets are looking to have another successful road series. The Mets were coming off a series win against the Milwaukee Brewers in which they had great pitching performances from all of their starters. Mets starters are 6-2 with a 2.78 ERA over the past 14 games.

Tonight the Mets will send Dillon Gee and his perfect 6-0 record to the mound to face the Pirate batters. Gee has won his last four starts and is becoming an excellent addition to the Met starting rotation. Gee is trying to become the first rookie since 2006 to start a season 7-0. He has gone at least seven innings in his last three starts. He has to pitch well if the Mets have any chance to win the game.

Charlie Morton will oppose Gee as he will try to capture his 7th win of the season. Morton was beat by the Mets on May 30th as he gave up three runs. The Mets will need to get a lot of hits tonight if they have a chance at winning. Morton is pitching very well this season and the Mets have to beat him again to pull themselves closer to the top of the NL East Division.
