The New York Mets will take on Pittsburgh Pirates tonight at 7:10 PM. The Mets lost last night and are looking to take a series lead with a win tonight. The Mets offense was held down yesterday for the first time in two games. They only scored one run and couldn’t get Dickey the much needed win. Dickey lost his sixth game of the season.
Tonight Chris Capuano will pitch for the Mets and try to capture his fourth win of the season. Capuano hasn’t won a game since May 15th. He has pitched consistent over the course of the season excluding his two games. He is coming off a performance of having eight strikeouts against the Philadelphia Phillies. Hopefully he can get a win for the team tonight.
Kevin Correia will oppose Capuano and will try to get his third consecutive win. He has pitched very well this season for the Pirates. He has a 3.44 ERA with 30 strikeouts. He will try to keep his team on the right track tonight against the Mets.
