David Waldstein of the New York Post is reporting that the Mets have contacted Beltran’s agent (Scott Boras) and they were told that Beltran would consider signing back with the Mets in the off season.

The Brewers are trying to package together a deal to acquire Beltran. The Brewers are looking for some help on the right side of their outfield and would be happy to get Beltran.

The Braves are reportedly closing in on getting a bat, but it is not Carlos Beltran. The Braves aren’t on Beltran’s short list of teams he would consider going to. And Sandy Alderson is narrowing the list of teams that Beltran will end up with.

The Mets right fielder is on many contending teams radar including the Philadelphia Phillies. Reports are swirling that the Mets would accept a deal with the Phillies if the deal included Domonic Brown. The Mets are wanting to get a high prospect from any team that may want Beltran. The Mets are in an excellent position to dictate any trade they want and get as much as they want.
