The New York Mets have sent first baseman Ike Davis home to rest injured ankle. There is no timetable for Davis’ return to the team and at this point Davis may miss the rest of the season. After these three weeks Davis said that if his ankle is still a problem he will miss the rest of the season. The Mets have really suffered after they lost Davis to injury. His bat has been missed because he could get you a run whenever you needed it.
