The New York Mets lost Jose Reyes in the second game in the Subway series. Reyes suffered a grade 1 strain in his left hamstring. The Mets are hopeful that Reyes will not miss many games, but want to make sure he is 100% when he returns.
Also in today’s game R.A. Dickey left early as he injured his left glute when he slipped off the mound. The Mets want to see how he feels later in the week and are unsure if he will miss his next scheduled start.
The Mets are getting hit with the injury bug yet again and it seems as if these injuries are not serious, but the team wants to take every precaution. The Mets have a long road trip and they need every guy to play at their best.
