Pre-Game: Mets vs. Marlins 7:10 PM

The New York Mets will continue their series tonight at Sun Life Stadium when they take on the Florida Marlins. The Mets won last night 7-6 as they had a successful return of David Wright. He was very key to the Mets winning last night as he hit two RBI doubles to help the team win. If the Mets can keep Wright knocking in runs, then they will be able to make a great second half run. His presence really gave the Mets a great boost in every aspect of the game as they were able to get runs every time they needed them.

Chris Capuano will start for the Mets looking to get his ninth win of the season. Capuano has struggled over his last two starts. He has lost both games and hasn’t pitched that great. The Mets need him to improve on his 8-9 record and his 4.16 ERA. His starts have been good, but sometimes he falls behind in the count and gives up homeruns. The Mets need him to keep the ball down to ensure that they will win the game.

Clay Hensley goes to the mound for the Marlins. Hensley last pitched against the Mets at Citi Field in which he threw five innings allowing one hit and three strikeouts. He has only started one game and that was against the Mets last week. The Marlins have taken him out of the bullpen and put him in the starters role trying to capture some type of success. They will be looking for the same effort from him tonight as he tries to hold down the Mets offense.

David Wright will be the story for the rest of the season and what he can bring to this team. He has to put this team on his back and lead the way, if the team is going to have a longer season. His leadership is very important to the growth of the team going forward. The Mets have a great leader in Wright, but it is up to him to help this team go forth.
