The Mets will be without Daniel Murphy for the rest of the season as he suffer a grade 2 tear of his MCL in his left knee. Murphy suffered the injury yesterday after Jose Contreras slid into Murphy’s leg accidentally. The Mets will miss Murphy who was having a nice season at the plate. Murphy will not require surgery, but will have to rehab for four months. This is tough for the Mets who have been hit by injuries yet again. Hopefully, Murphy can recover well and help this team next season.
