Pre-Game: Brewers vs. Mets 1:10 PM

The New York Mets will host the Milwaukee Brewers in their final game of a three game series today at Citi Field. The Mets are coming off a wild day in which they came back from six runs down to take a two run lead off Francisco Rodriguez. The Mets would give the ball to Jason Isringhausen hoping that he could get the save and get the team the win. But he too failed to keep the opposing team off the board as he allowed four runs to score in his blown save. The Mets would go on to lose the game 11-9.

The Mets will start the 5 and 11 R.A. Dickey today hoping that he can get a win. Dickey is coming off a no decision in which he went 6.1 innings allowing just three runs on seven hits. He has really had tough luck this season. And just about every game he leaves with the lead the Mets end losing the lead. They have to score him some runs tonight because he is well deserving of some run support. He has a ERA of 3.77 the lowest on the team, but he still has a bad record.

Yovani Gallardo will start for the Brewers looking to get his 14th win of the season. Gallardo is coming off a eight inning performance in which he allowed one run on four hits against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He wasn’t given a decision, but he pitched very well. He is 13-8 and is proving his worth to the great Brewer team. He will be looking for revenge against the Mets after they beat him on June 9th and scored four runs off him. He is a very well controlled pitcher who hasn’t walked many batters as of late.
