Pre-Game: Padres vs. Mets 7:10 PM

The New York Mets will face the San Diego Padres tonight at Citi Field. This will be the second game of a four game series. The Mets won last night on a walk-off two-run single by Lucas Duda to win the game. The Mets fought back all night after they fell down by four runs. This game summed up the Mets season thus far that they were not going to back down against any team. They continue to fight despite their injuries and that makes this team worth watching.

Chris Capuano will get the start for the Mets as he tries to keep the Mets on their winning ways. He has struggled recently, but his last start he really showed that he could pitch. He allowed just two runs over six innings, but was stuck with the no decision. He has pitched well for the Mets this season and he continues to show that he can be a pitcher the Mets can keep next season. He needs to give the Mets a great effort tonight if they are going to win.

Wade LeBlanc will start for the Padres trying to get his first win of the season. LeBlanc is 0-2 with an ERA of 4.98 and in each of his four starts he has given up three runs. He has been mostly down this season in each one of his outings and he can not find his first win of the season. He is allowing opposing batters to hit .352 off him. The Padres continue to score runs over their last few games and are looking more and more offensively consistent.

The Mets need to score some runs tonight if they are going to win this game. In order for them to beat the Padres they will need to outscore them in every way and keep them from scoring off them.
