Breaking News; Mets pick up option on Terry Collins contract

The Mets general manager Sandy Alderson announced that the Mets picked up the option on Terry Collins contract. The Mets originally signed Collins to a two year deal, but now have extended his contract for one more year.

This was a smart move by the Mets because he has done a nice job this season with managing this team. He was able to get the players to buy into his system and the team has done well. Now Collins can relax knowing that he is under contract for two more seasons.
