Pre-Game: Nationals vs. Mets 7:10 p.m.

The Mets will host tonight’s game of with the Nationals. The Mets lost the opening game of the four game series last night. The Mets announced before the game that Jason Bay will miss tonight’s game due to a injured shoulder. Willie Harris will start for Bay in left field tonight.

The Mets will start Dillon Gee tonight as he looks to get his 13th win of the season. Gee is coming off a lost to the Atlanta Braves as he gave up two runs over six innings. Gee is really struggling to pitch since he started losing control of his pitches. The Mets need Gee to give them a nice pitching performance. His pitching hasn’t been effective and he has to have command over all of his pitches.

Chien-Ming Wang will start for the Nationals looking to earn his third win of the season. Wang is giving up a lot of runs which is no surprise since he came off of the disabled list on July 29th. Wang is trying to finish his season strong and prove that he can still pitch at this level. The Mets have to do the same thing that they did to him in his first start. They were able to force four runs over four innings.

Mets Lineup:

  1. Jose Reyes, SS
