The Mets manager Terry Collins removed shortstop Jose Reyes after he laid down a perfect bunt for a hit. Reyes average is now sitting at .337 and his is atop the National League in hitting… for now. The fans booed after Reyes left the field. The fans deserved to at least see Reyes on the field, but Terry Collins opted to take him out of the game. Reyes now has to hope that Ryan Braun has a rough game tonight or else Braun will win if he can get his average over .337. Braun will have to go 3 fo3 or 3 for 4 to overtake Reyes in the batting race. This may have been Reyes’ last game and if it was he did an excellent job as a Met.
