The New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson made an announcement regarding the Mets coaching staff this afternoon. Third Base Coach Chip Hale, Bench Coach Ken Oberkfell, First Base Coach Mookie Wilson, and Bullpen Coach Jon Debus all will not return to the major league club next season. According to reports Chip Hale has signed a two year deal to become the bench coach of the Oakland Athletics. In regards of Wilson and Debus they have been offered a new position within the organization.
Ricky Bones will become the Bullpen Coach and Tim Teufel will become the new Third Base Coach. The two staying in their same position are Dan Warthen (Pitching Coach) and Dave Hudgens (Hitting Coach).
