Final: Patriots 17, Steelers 25

The New England Patriots played the Pittsburgh Steelers looking to get their fourth straight win. This was a tough game for the Patriots that saw them trail the entire game. The Steelers were able to jump out to a early ten point lead. The Patriots were able to get a two yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Deion Branch. Following that touchdown the Steelers marched down the field to score on a touchdown. Closing out the second quarter the Patriots were able to get a field goal to cut the Steeler lead to seven.

In the third quarter the Patriots started with the ball and gave it right back after three plays. They struggled to move the ball down the field. And were held scoreless in that quarter. Stephen Gostkowski missed a 42 yard field goal which could have bought the Patriots with in seven points.

The Steelers would get the ball down the field and kick a field goal to extend their lead to 13 points. The Patriots offense had to get down the field quickly and score if they wanted to have a chance at winning the game. They were unable to score and were forced to punt the ball. The Steelers defense was able to play the Patriots just right to limit any big plays.

The Steelers would miss a 44 yard field goal to leave a window of opportunity open for the Patriots. The Patriots would get the ball and would march down the field for a score. The Patriots were able to get a touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Aaron Hernandez. That was the best drive that the Patriots were able to get out of the day, but the Steelers would be able to hold onto the lead and beat the Patriots 25-17.

This was a very tough lost for the Patriots who are now tied with the Buffalo Bills with a 5-2 record. The Patriots lost to a very good football team tonight and cannot hang their heads.
