The New England Patriots struggled early in this game as they couldn’t keep the Steelers from moving the ball down the field. The Steelers were able to score ten unanswered points and hand the Patriots their largest deficit of the season. The Patriots would bounce back in the 2nd quarter when Gary Guyton intercepted Ben Roethlisberger. The Patriots would cut the Steelers lead to three on a Tom Brady two yard touchdown pass to Deion Branch.
The Steelers were able to get another touchdown and extended their lead to ten points again. The Patriots defense was awful in the first half and they couldn’t stop the Steelers passing game. It was hard to watch a team look that bad at stopping the pass. In order for the Patriots to win this game they will need their defense to play at their best. The Patriots were able to get another score on a Stephen Gostkowski 46 yard field goal. The Patriots headed into the locker room down by seven, but they will get the ball to start the second half.
