The New England Patriots will take on the Philadelphia Eagles this afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field. The Patriots are looking to make it three straight wins with a win today. The Eagles are coming off a win over the New York Giants in which Vince Young was able to win in his first start of the season. This game will be a great test for Patriots defense who has played much better over the last two weeks. The Patriots will be without Chad Ochocinco, Devin McCourty, Dan Connelly, and Patrick Chung due to injury. The Patriots have to play hard and continue to show the league that they can play at a high level on the defensive end.
Tom Brady will have a tough time today trying to get the ball to open receivers due to the Eagles ability to get interceptions. Rob Gronkowski will have another big game today because he presents match-up problems every week. Brady and Gronkowski are working great together and the more they play with each other, the better they will get. The offense for the Patriots will have a easy time with their offense. But if the Eagles are able to stop the run and limit the pass, they could possibly beat the Patriots.
The safeties and corners for the Patriots have been getting the job done lately. They need to play hard and limit the long passes again today. The Patriots defense will get at least three interceptions in this game. Vince Young struggled last week with limiting the bad passes. He allowed the Giants to intercept him three times. The Eagles were lucky the Giants were unable to capitalize on those three turnovers, otherwise they would have lost. The Patriots defense has limited the scoring from their opponents over the last two weeks.
