Halftime: Patriots 24, Eagles 13

The New England Patriots are currently leading the Philadelphia Eagles 24-13. Tom Brady is leading the Patriots offense down the field easily and is getting all of his offensive players involved. Wes Welker was able to break open late in the second quarter for a 41 yard touchdown. Welker has five receptions for 84 yards in just the first half. The Patriots also have been getting excellent running from BenJarvus Green-Ellis in the first half. Green-Ellis has 43 yards on 11 carries with two touchdowns.

The Patriots defense struggled out of the gate and allowed the Eagles to score 10 unanswered points. They were able to get a couple of breaks that lead to the offense scoring some points. The defense was also able to get stops in the latter part of the second quarter to protect their lead. Stephen Gostkowski has missed a field goal and has made one. The Patriots are in control and will look to keep control going into the second half. The Patriots have done well in the first half and need to continue that in the second half.
