Game-Day: Chiefs vs. Patriots 8:20 PM

The New England Patriots will host tonight’s Monday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots are coming off a rout of the New York Jets in which their defense allowed just seven points in the second half. That game really showed what the Patriots could do on the defensive side of the ball if they put their heart into the game. Their pass defense was much better and they were able to limit the big plays. Tonight the defense for the Patriots have to take advantage of a player starting in his first game of his career.

Tonight Tyler Palko will get the start over the injured Matt Cassel. Palko has never thrown a touchdown in his career and is looking to get his first tonight. The Patriots were able to get to get pressure on Mark Sanchez which forced arrant throws. Andre Carter was able to get four sacks last week and earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week. He has to have the same effort tonight and lead that defensive line in getting to the quarterback. The defensive pressure from the defensive line will lead to turnovers. This line is more impactful with Carter, Wilfork, Anderson, and Love. Tonight will be a solidifying game for the defense, if they can limit scores and get turnovers.

The offense for the Patriots should have a easy day getting scores. Tom Brady is seeking revenge. Brady will need to get all of his receivers involved including Chad Ochocinco who can have a big night if the Patriots play him tonight. Wes Welker will probably get the bulk of the receptions tonight for the Patriots. Hopefully Welker can get some open receptions and get a couple of touchdowns. Rob Gronkowski is going to be a red zone threat yet again in this game. His ability to get open and find the ball makes him a top tight-end in the game. I am looking for a big game from him. If the Patriots can get in an offensive rhythm they will be a tough team to beat.
