The New England Patriots announced Saturday night that Patrick Chung (foot), Dan Connelly (groin), Brandon Spikes(knee) and Shane Vereen (hamstring) have all been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Redskins.
Chung has been sidelined since the end of a Nov. 6 loss to the Giants. In that same game, Spikes also suffered an injury that has kept him on the sidelines since early last month. Also, Connolly has been slowed by a groin injury over the last month or so. Lastly, Vereen has struggled with hamstring problems over the course of his rookie season.
They join offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer, who has suffered back and foot injuries over the course of the season, and was officially downgraded to out on Friday.
