Does Welker have a wrist injury?

Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker was wearing a soft cast over his right wrist Thursday in the locker room.

It's unclear when he might have suffered the injury, whether it happened during Sunday's game against the Colts, Wednesday's practice or another time. Welker said he would speak to the media Friday.

The thin black cast was very light, almost like a sleeve over the wrist. Welker was limited at Wednesday's practice with a knee injury, but there was no mention of the wrist on the team's injury report, which would be within the NFL's guidelines if the wrist injury had no bearing on Welker's availability for Sunday's game against the Redskins.
