The New England Patriots will face off against the Washington Redskins today at FedEx Field. The Patriots are coming off a win over the Indianapolis Colts in which they led big, but allowed the Colts to close in late in the game. The defense of the Patriots has played better, but late in games they have allowed the opposition to get back into the game with late touchdowns. It is vital that the Patriots come out early and score the ball. Otherwise they can possibly go home with their fourth lost of the season.
Tom Brady is playing very well and if he isn’t challenged he can get the offense moving at a quick pace. Brady threw for 289 yards with two touchdowns to Rob Gronkowski. Brady is just getting everyone involved. In the last two game he has connected with Wes Welker for 225 yards for two touchdowns. It seems that Brady is starting to get back into the rhythm of getting the ball to Welker and their timing is great. They are possibly the best quarterback receiver duo in the league because they have such great timing with each other.
This game will be a win for the Patriots who will possibly win every game to close out the regular season. The Redskins do present a problem in the form of Ryan Kerrigan and Brian Orakpo. The Patriots offensive line has to keep these two players from getting to Tom Brady and putting him on his back. Kerrigan and Orakpo have a combined 12.5 sacks between them. They have presented the opposition with many problems because they both can rush the quarterback.
The Patriots will win with a final score of 35-16 and get their fifth straight win and get closer to clinching the division.
