Knicks officially sign Baron Davis

The New York Knicks have signed point guard Baron Davis. Howard Beck of the New York Times is reporting that the deal is for one year and worth 1.4 million. The Knicks will introduce Davis in just moments at the Knicks training facility. Davis will be examined by Knicks doctor this week as they look for the right diagnosis with his injured back.

The Knicks can now get a great veteran guard in whom the Knicks needed to make a run in the playoffs. This is a great sign by the Knicks because they didn’t spend much on him and it is only a one year deal. If it doesn’t work out the Knicks will not lose anything. But Davis will be a difference maker with this years Knicks team. Once he is completely healed, the Knicks could be on their way to having the best season in franchise history.
