Patriots DE Andre Carter placed on IR

The New England Patriots have announced that DE Andre Carter has been placed on the injured reserve, which ends his season. The team is calling his injury a leg injury that he suffered in Sunday’s win over the Denver Broncos. Carter was having one of his best seasons and was the the bright spot on the struggling Patriots defense. The Patriots also announced that they have signed DL Cedric McKinley to their practice squad.

This is a major blow to the Patriots defense who was depending on Carter to lead the team through the postseason. Now the Patriots will have to figure out how they can generate the same pressure that Carter presented.
