Yahoo! Sports is reporting that PG Chris Paul has requested a trade from the New Orleans Hornets to become a New York Knick. This is major news for Knicks fans who are hoping that the Knicks can land this superstar. It has been rumored that Paul has wanted to come to the Knicks for a while now and his opportunity is sitting right in front of him. But there is a problem. The Knicks do not have any trade assets to send to the Hornets, so a deal would be hard to accomplish. The Knicks gave up plenty of assets when they traded for Carmelo Anthony.
In order for this deal to work the Knicks would have to involve more teams and see if the Hornets would go for that. Otherwise the Knicks wouldn’t be able to make a run for him.
