The New York Knicks officially announced the trade for Tyson Chandler. The Knicks sent Andy Rautins to Dallas and acquired the rights to Ahmad Nivins and Giorgos Printezis. Lastly the Knicks sent Ronny Turiaf, 2013 2nd round pick, and cash to the Wizards. Chandler is officially a Knick and is currently at the Knicks practice facility.
Also, the Knicks officially waived point guard Chauncey Billups under the new amnesty provision.
