The NBA had just 5 games on the docket tonight. The top performers of the night is given out nightly to the top three players around the league that had spectacular nights. Coming in third is Josh Smith who led the Hawks to a win after they learned that Al Horford would miss 3-4 months with a shoulder injury. Smith scored 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a blow out win over the Charlotte Bobcats. And in second was Detroit’s center Greg Monroe who scored 32 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a lost to the Atlanta Hawks. But in first was the Orlando Magic’s star Dwight Howard who scored 45 points and grabbed 23 rebounds in a win over the Golden State Warriors. Howard also set a record for most free throws taken in a game with 39 free throw attempts.
