The New England Patriots will face off against the Baltimore Ravens today at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots are coming off a blowout win over the Denver Broncos in which they won very easily.
Today’s game will be very challenging for the Patriots simply because during the regular season the Ravens have the leagues third best defense. This Ravens defense is tough because they do so many things well defensively. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are great leaders for the Ravens and are expected to make the day tough on Tom Brady.
The Patriots will rely on their offense in hopes of scoring the same way they scored in the last game. But the defense for the Patriots will need to create turnovers and get the offense on the field in hopes of creating scoring opportunities. This game will need Brady and company on the field most of the time in hopes of trying to win this game.
Aaron Hernandez was listed as questionable after this weeks practices and will play today. Hernandez played well in last weeks game as the Patriots used him as a running back and he rushed for 61 yards. The Patriots will probably use Hernandez less as a running back today because of his concussion.
Rob Gronkowski and Wes Welker will be heavily covered today so expect their numbers to be low. Deion Branch and Aaron Hernandez might be the two Brady uses more driving down the field. Tiquan Underwood is also and option.
This game is expected to be close and many predict that the Patriots win. This is a huge game for both teams, but the better team will win this game. Hopefully it’s the Patriots advancing to the Super Bowl.
