Knicks blow out Bobcats 111-78

The New York Knicks played the Charlotte Bobcats today in what would be a must win for them. The Knicks came out with energy and ball movement which created inside shots. The Knicks scored well the entire game which resulted in a blow out win.

The Knicks were led by Tyson Chandler who scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. Chandler was active on the offensive glass as he grabbed 8 offensive rebounds. This is a nice effort put together by Chandler because it speaks volumes to how good he is. The Knicks were able to get the ball to Chandler deep in the post and he was able to capitalize.

Despite scoring just one point tonight Carmelo Anthony was able to help get his teammates involved with his four assists. He also grabbed 11 rebounds. Anthony played well despite his low scoring. He was able to keep the ball moving which created easier shots for the Knicks. This is something Anthony has to keep up especially since it opened up opportunities for the other players.

Amare Stoudemire played very well and looked like the Amare of old as he dunked the ball multiple times tonight. Stoudemire finished up with 18 points and 8 rebounds. He was energized and looked better on both sides of the ball. His teammate Landry Fields scored 18 points and continues to energize the Knicks offensively. Fields has played really well over the last four games and is starting to look like the Fields of old. If he continues to play at this level the Knicks can win more games.

The bench also played well as they scored 49 points and looked great in the fourth quarter. Jared Jeffries scored 11 points tonight in what was an offensive explosion for him. Jeffries helped early on when the Knicks needed baskets. He has to be aggressive on the offensive end and keep the defense guessing.

This was a great game for the Knicks collectively and they played well because they were able to move the ball. The Knicks have a game on tomorrow when they face the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks are hoping to make it back to back wins with a win tomorrow.
