A disgusting performance tonight by the New York Knicks. They allowed the Milwaukee Bucks to come into their building and blow them out. This game was close early on, but the Knicks fell down quickly and never recovered. The Knicks lost this game 100-86.
Brandon Jennings torched the Knicks tonight as he scored a season high 36 points. He was scoring at will and never really was challenged defensively. His ability to create his own shot is remarkable. But still the Knicks should played a better defensive game.
The Knicks had many issues tonight, but the one that stuck out the most was the terrible offense by the Knicks. Some way this team has lost what ever offensive ability they had to start the season. Carmelo Anthony scored 35 points to lead the Knicks, but the bench put together just 11 total points. Anthony was able to score, but the team never was able to get going.
Right now the Knicks look as if they are just not getting anywhere this season. When you lose to teams you are supposed to beat you let yourself down. Countless times this season the Knicks have lost to subpar teams.
Amare Stoudemire had 15 points and 11 rebounds while Tyson Chandler had 11 points and 12 rebounds. Both played very well on the boards, but their lack of defensive pressure in the paint gave the Bucks 50 points in the paint. The Knicks are looking as if they don’t want to play for Mike D’Antoni and that is very concerning.
This team is in jeopardy of falling behind in the standings. As a team you have to protect your home and the Knicks are now 3-5 at home and most of the losses have come to teams that are subpar.
The Knicks will now face the Denver Nuggets tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden.
