For the past couple of days fans have been writing to me that the Knicks need to fire head coach Mike D’Antoni. I have been taken aback by this question and why they would do that now. So my answer to that question is that it is way too early to fire someone after just six games. I would say that his seat is getting warmer with every lost, but he will be the coach for the rest of the season.

I think by the mid season if the Knicks are not in playoff position and they continue to play as dysfunctional as they have been offensively and defensively (warranting no dramatic injuries) as a team, then it is the only option.
ReplyDeleteI understand that we are lacking pieces to the team, however, we have enough pieces of the puzzle to make it work. It is only fair to give him more time, especially considering there was no true training camp, however some improvement must be made, and soon!
